I should have made a much thorough travel around Singapore when I booked with Air Asia a year ago these routes: Clark-Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia-Singapore-vv, with two days each on each country, but that trip was shelved and died out because of a job offer in Indonesia. It was short-lived though due to visa problem.
So on my trip back home after 11 months, I exited in Singapore so as to make up for the missed travel early this year. The gap between my arrival in Singapore and my time of departure was somewhat generous. I made sure that I won't be left just hankering for this place as I ventured to visit Merlion Park with much apprehension and caution. I was jittery at times every time I hopped onto a train especially when my EZ link card got me into a small problem.
ot lost and meandered inside the MRT building that looked like a mall with many exits but anyhow I managed to get out through the river. From a morose countenance, I was all of a sudden masked with a smiley face and was now enjoying the views while posing for pictures on my way to Merlion Park.
Many Filipinos were at the vicinity and I requested somebody to take photos of me. A Christian boy named Richmond Cruz offered to tour me around the park and take me back to the airport for I was starting to get uneasy since it was getting late and the train was getting busy once again.
An air of relief filled me as I completed my walking tour and by taking photos from Singapore's famous landmark. It was time to head back to Changi Airport to check in at Airphils Express counter, and used up the dying minutes at Mc Donald's for a meal with the boy who did me a kind favour. I thanked him for his kind gesture and said goodbye to him. Then I went through the immigration blues and boarded the aircraft back to Manila. :)
